MAPS Festival is a brand new festival for the North East which explores music, art and play. The three day festival, aimed at children and their grown ups, will take place in venues across Newcastle and Gateshead between the 15th -17th February 2019. The festival programme is packed to the brim with unique immersive art experiences, gigs and workshops. Featuring Cosmic Space Raves, Viz for Kids, a live podcast recording, family friendly gigs, a playscape, a cat clay social featuring Cat DJs, beatbox sessions and much more!
MAPS aims to bring a wide breadth of high quality cultural activity to families, without censorship or limitations, to provide activities that parents and children will enjoy in equal measure - all the culture without the compromise.
MAPS Festival is produced and curated by Chalk, a family focused organisation based in North East England. Established in 2015 Chalk aims to introduce children to culture through immersive activities and events, promoting accessible learning through play.
